Local residents and councillors got a sneak preview of the new Foxhills housing development in Brierfield on Thursday 16 August as the new show home opened.

And the new show home will be open to the public on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th August from 11 am – 4 pm and every weekend  – including Bank Holidays – after that.

The Barnfield Homes development is being delivered by PEARL, the pioneering joint venture company of Pendle Council and local contractor, developer and investor Barnfield Construction.

The new development of 35 homes will include two and three bedroom bungalows and three bedroom semi-detached homes with views out to Pendle Hill.

Councillor Paul White, Leader of Pendle Council and a PEARL Director said:

“The new development is next to our flagship project at Northlight and across the road from the transformed historic mill which is now Quaker Heights.

“Being next to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and close to stunning countryside and yet with excellent commuting links only minutes away, it’s the perfect location,” he said.

“Foxhills also neighbours PEARL’s successful modern housing development, Spinners View on Holden Road and is part of our bid to offer more quality housing choice in Pendle,” he explained.

The government’s Help to Buy scheme is available at Foxhills which means it’s possible to buy a home with only a 5% deposit – subject to meeting the government’s criteria.

A Help To Buy Specialist will be at the show home to give advice and there’s information online www.helptobuy.gov.uk

Tim Webber, Barnfield Group’s Managing Director said:

“Being based in Pendle, we’re passionate about our joint schemes and investing in our area.

“This development keeps up the momentum started through the new PEARL homes on Holden Road and at Quaker Heights,” he added.

Phil Ghayour, the first buyer at the site said:

“I’m very excited about moving into Foxhills as it offers the best of town and country!

“I’m also looking forward to living next door to Northlight and making the most of sport and leisure opportunities within two minutes’ walk of my new home,” he explained.

“The M65 motorway links are useful for me in my job as I have an office in Preston and also at Burnley Football Club.

“For so many reasons, it’s the perfect location for me!” He added.
