About us
Barnfield Construction was established in 1976 and we started life as a building contractor working mainly for local authorities, the NHS and other Public Bodies. In the 80’s we carried out our first housing development of 60 houses and the Barnfield Homes brand began to grow from there.
We are a family run company and we run our business from our headquarters in Nelson, Lancashire. We are committed to providing a high quality product, an excellent understanding of each client’s requirements and the best possible service.
We are local and our passion for knowledge, contacts and understanding of the region is extensive. In Lancashire alone Barnfield have developed over 40 million sqft of industrial space, over 17 million sqft of commercial developments supporting 1000’s of businesses across the UK and over 4000 homes have been created with over a third supplied to local housing associations. In East Lancashire, Barnfield has also been responsible for the development and completion of over 200 schemes with a combined value of over £1/2 billion.
